First let's look at how customers are searching for you. I'm sure there are obvious answers that come to mind, however I'm also sure there are thousands of not so obvious ones. For example, in our case if someone searched for ' search engine optimization and internet marketing ', and what came up first was a site talking about the top 10 search engine optimization and internet marketing firms, we would hope we were placed number one. But let's say we weren't, instead this fictitious company ranked us number three overall. Now instead of us getting the surfers full attention, the surfer would be more inclined to click the number 1 seo firm ranked by some other company. Another possible scenario, a news article describing the different firm advantages as the writer sees it. If the writer was comparing firms and Mkia was considered the best search engine optimization firm, but the writer decided not to state that early on in the article, them again the surfer would be more inclined to click another firm that the writer talks about before us. The different scenarios can go on and on, but I think you get the idea. To prevent this situation from occurring, we used the exact same keyword statistic tools for us as we would use with your web site.
